1996

From 1996 to a Multi-Sector Legacy

ABN Group began its journey in 1996 with the founding of Asian Business Network Ltd, marking its entry into international trading. This milestone laid the foundation for the group’s future ventures across multiple sectors.

2001

Pioneering Green Energy Initiatives

In 2001, ABN Group took a visionary step by advocating for private sector participation in CNG refueling stations. This effort led to the successful setup of three CNG stations in Dhaka, showcasing the group's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and national progress.

2004

Expansion into Aviation and Travel

In 2004, ABN Group expanded its horizons by establishing ABN Aviation Ltd and ABN Travels Ltd, marking its entry into aviation services and international travel.

2005

Strengthening Freight Forwarding

In 2005, ABN Cargo Ltd was founded to enhance cargo handling and logistics for PIA in Europe, reinforcing ABN’s presence in the freight forwarding industry.

2007

Global Recognition Achieved

In 2007, ABN Travels Ltd achieved a major milestone by receiving accreditation from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), strengthening its reputation in the global travel industry.

2009

Strategic Shift in Aviation Services

After five successful years, ABN concluded its General Sales Agency operations for Pakistan International Airlines in 2009, redirecting its focus toward aviation consultancy and support services.

2011

Venturing into Education

In 2011, ABN Group expanded into education by launching Asian International School, providing a globally recognized curriculum and a high-quality learning environment.

MD'S Message

Syed Sadat Ahmed has been an integral part of ABN Group since its inception in 1996. Actively involved in the travel and aviation sectors since 2002, he has represented Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on the International Airline Board (Civil Aviation) in Bangladesh. He also served as the Vice President of the Bangladesh CNG Filling Station & Conversion Workshop Owners Association (BD CNG Association).

Chairman Message

The Chairman of ABN Group brings a wealth of experience from both military and civil service. He proudly served in the Bangladesh Army for 17 years, followed by 15 years in the Civil Service, where he held key leadership positions as Chairman of several major public sector corporations, including:

  • Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation

  • Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation

  • Bangladesh Jute Corporation

  • Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority

His diverse and impactful career reflects a deep commitment to national development. Currently, he continues to contribute to society as the Publisher and Chairman of the Editorial Board of the national daily newspaper Bangladesh Today.
